Captain Michael Krauze has served the City of Bonner Springs as a Police Officer since 2017. In early 2018, Krauze was promoted to the rank of Corporal where he served in Patrol as a shift supervisor. In late 2018, Krauze was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as the Support Services Supervisor and a Patrol Supervisor. In April 2020 Krauze was promoted to the rank of Captain and now oversees the Patrol Bureau. Captain Krauze also serves as a member of the Special Response Team.
Captain Krauze received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Central Christian Collage of Kansas. Prior to being an officer in Bonner Springs Captain Krauze served as an officer for the City of Shawnee and the City of Tonganoxie. Captain Krauze served for eight years in the US Army as a Military Police Corrections Officer before transitioning to civilian police work.
