Residential
A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) certifies that the building has received an approved final inspection. Under no circumstances should a residence be occupied without first obtaining an approved final inspection or temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO).
To schedule a final inspection, contact the Codes and Planning Department at (913) 667-1710. A separate application is not required and no fees are associated with the certificate. Once the final inspection has been approved, the CO will be mailed to the permit holder.
