Administration
The City Clerk's office is responsible for the administration of the residential trash and
recycle services and works with Deffenbaugh Industries to make sure they pick up
residential trash and recycled items weekly. 

The City provides residential trash (solid waste) and recycle services through an agreement
with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas who contracts
with Deffenbaugh for curbside services.  The City bills residents for this service on their
monthly utility bill.  Residential trash and recycle service is mandatory and residents will
be billed whether they use the service or not. The standard pickup days are Mondays and 
Tuesdays.  Refer to the "Pickup Schedule" to find your date of pickup by street name. 

Recycle Bin
Residents who need a recycle bin can obtain one at City Hall.  The bin needs to be placed at the curb each week for pickup.  Residents should put their address on the bin.  If they move, the bin should stay with the residence.
