Fishing Clinic
Want to learn how to fish? Join the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for a morning at North Park Lake to learn fishing basics, casting techniques, knot tying, fish identification, and fishing ethics. This clinic is for kids ages 12 and under. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, but there are a limited number of poles to borrow. This event is held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10:30am-12:00pm.  Pre-registration preferred.

Fishing Derby
Bring the family for an afternoon at North Park Lake. Youth participants under 15 years old are divided into three age groups for a chance to win prizes for the smallest, longest, and most fish. This is a fun experience for all to enjoy.  This event is held on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm.
