If a new retail business is moving into a vacant tenant space or building or a current Bonner Springs retail business relocates to another tenant space or building, the business owner may qualify for this incentive program based upon the eligibility requirements and program policies. For a qualifying business, the city will provide grant funds based upon a certain percentage of 1% of their retail sales on goods and/or services of which the Kansas retailer’s sales tax is actually paid to the Kansas Department of Revenue. The city will also waive and reimburse certain fees.
