The duties and responsibilities of the department are:
  • Management of the City's geographic information system (GIS), which assists both Public Works and Utility department monitor the city's infrastructure
  • Plan, design, budget and bid phases from the introduction to the completion of a project
    • This includes not only City projects, but most state and federal projects that impact the City of Bonner Springs
  • Plan, manage and coordinate large-scale, complex and department-wide projects
