Residential Submittal Requirements
Adopted Code:

- National Electrical Code 2008 Edition
Design Criteria:
- Wind, 90mph Exposure C @ 3 second gust
- Seismic, Zone 2A
- Snow, 20 PSF
- Roof Classification, Min. Class C Fire Rated
- Flood Plain Info, Base Flood Elevation
Design Submittal:
- Two complete sets of construction plans including basement and elevations.
- 3 Completed Plot Plan by registered professional.
- A stamped approved set of plans to be kept on job site will be provided by this department.
- Complete list of contractors and subcontractors.
- All contractors and subcontractors shall be licensed with the City of Bonner Springs prior to working on site.
- Deck Requirements – construction plans - include species and grade of material.
- Minimum Landscape Requirement - Two trees in front yard with 2” caliper. Seed or sod entire yard.
NOTE: All Electrical shall be served by underground power.
Permit Processing Goals:
The Codes Department will try to meet the following timetable:
- Review Residential Plans within 3-5 working days.
- Miscellaneous permits within 1 working day (24 hours) if the submittal is complete.
