City of Bonner Springs Launches Mobile App

Mobile App

The City of Bonner Springs is now offering an official smart phone app to conveniently connect with citizens, businesses, and visitors.

“We’re excited to launch this new app as another way for the city to be open and responsive to our citizens,” stated City Manager Sean Pederson. “The app allows citizens to be more engaged and provides the opportunity to report issues, find staff contact information, pay utility bills, and more.”

The app features sixteen modules which integrate seamlessly with the current City website. At the touch of a button, residents can submit requests, contact staff, browse the calendar, agendas, job openings, and much more. Those who have previously signed up for service requests or notifications on the City website can use the same login and password for the mobile app.

In the Request Tracker module, residents can report several concerns including pot holes, missed trash and recycling, street light outages, and more. The app allows residents to include a photo of the concern as well as location-tagging for better staff efficiency.

The News Flash module allows residents to find the most up to date news from the City, while the Notify Me module allows users to get notifications when items are added to any app category. These notices can be set up for email or text notifications, and even push notifications from the app.

In the Form Center module, app users can apply for burn permits and occupational licenses. More features include social media connections, a City calendar, job openings, meeting agendas and minutes, project bids, and staff and business directories. The app also includes access to the answers for the City’s most frequently asked questions.

The free app is available for download in the Apple iTunes app and the Android Google Play store. Links for each version are below or you can find it by searching for “City of Bonner Springs”.
