The 2017 adjustments are based on a detailed cost of service analysis to ensure that each utility customer pays their proportionate share of the costs to provide services. These rate adjustments will help ensure the reliability and affordability of basic water and sanitary sewer services to provide adequate funding to cover operating costs and capital needs and maintain adequate reserves for the next ten years. They will also support the replacement of aging infrastructure.
